I have a bad time using my wifi extender when I playing games. Especially point-blank games from zepetto. Every 5 or 10 second my ping going so high. And it is the ping from my wifi extender to my router.
Yes, it reaches 2976ms ping, and that's a lot. It makes my game freeze for a moment and then I died in the game.
I'm using wifi extender TP-Link TL-WA855RE and my router ZTE F609 and my ISP are IndiHome.
What makes the problem is so much weirder, the ping spike only comes when I play point blank and mobile legends only. When I'm playing DOTA2, open youtube 1080, or TikTok. No ping spike happens.
So, I am Reading All articles online on google for six hours and got nothing that can fix this problem.
Until one change I made on a router.
No lag, no ping spike when playing point-blank or mobile legend.
How?

Change your SSID security settings to TKIP
Because your extender doesn't have those advanced technologies and if u use AES configuration it will make a ping spike on your old and outdated wifi connection. Those 2.5Ghz were just so lame that they need older security SSID settings to TKIP for making your game go smoothly.
